August 23, 2008 Update
We have an enclosed
building!!! Saturday we got teh sheeting on the roof, and are
planning on shingling the roof on Wednesday. Thank you for everyone
that has come out to help us with our
dream
of owning our own home. If there is someone who does not feel
comfortable "swinging a hammer," and enjoys kids- do we have a job
for you. :) Christine really wants to help in the building process,
but we need someone willing to watch Clarissa & Caleb for us. Please

August 16, 2008 Update
This past week we got all the exterior walls put up. Today we got
most of the interior walls put up. The trusses have been delivered.
We are hoping to put the trusses on top of the wall this coming
Wednesday (8/20)&/or Thursday (8/21). We will be working ~3:00pm to
~7:00pm. We can use as
much help as possible. You don't need to bring any tools- just your
muscles. :)Please let me know either by phone 434-4525 or e-mail

The
floor joists are done!!! :) Saturday we will be working on getting
the plywood set.

August 5, 2008 Update
Hi all. Just wanted to let you know the update.
The wall for the foundation was poured early this week. Today they
had the steel beams up standing and they were pouring the floor for
the
basement I believe. Chris informed me by cell phone that they were
going to try to put up some joists and framing and they need some
help from some guys to do this tomorrow a.m. at 9:30. If you can
come great. They also want us to let people know that actual
volunteer work by others will be able to begin this Sat. at 9:00
till ?
