Alex Banks
senior Pastor
Alex Banks has served as senior pastor since January 2023. Prior to transitioning into that role, Alex served as the associate pastor at LAC for eight years. Alex grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, but made Rochester, New York home after graduating from Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in Religion and Philosophy.
Prior to joining the team at LAC, Alex served as Youth Pastor for six years at a church in Rochester. Alex has been married to the love of his life, Becky, since 2008. They have three active boys: Luke, Levi, and Ezekiel. All four “Banks boys” love the Buffalo Bills and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Alex enjoys playing golf, being with friends and family, running, and spending time at the lake. Alex loves the Lord, and loves helping other people draw closer to Him. He is excited to see what God has planned for this community of believers, and considers it a privilege to serve the Lord here.
His favorite chapter in the Bible is Romans 12 and he hopes to be a Romans 12 Christian, husband, father, pastor and friend. “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, paient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” -Romans 12:11-12

Nate Hill
Associate Pastor
Nate Hill has been serving as the Associate Pastor at LAC since November 2023. Before joining the LAC team, he spent nineteen years as the Youth and Associate Pastor at Amherst Alliance Church. A lifelong Western New Yorker, Nate also spent two and a half years at Cedarville University in Ohio, where he met his wife, Ashley.
Nate and Ashley have been married since 2004 and are proud parents of two children, Rowan and Trace. A devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, Nate enjoys spending his free time outdoors—hunting, fishing, and golfing. Most Sundays, you’ll also find him playing alongside the worship team.
Deeply passionate about missions and discipleship, Nate finds great joy in helping people connect with what God is doing both locally and around the world. His favorite books of the Bible are Jonah and James, and a verse that has significantly shaped his life and ministry is Galatians 1:10: "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."
One of his favorite personal mottos, inspired by Josh Allen, is: "Be good, do good, God bless, Go Bills!"

Kyle Mcginnis
Youth ministry coordinatror
Starting in September of 2023 Kyle joined the staff at LAC as the youth coordinator.
He has been a long standing part of the LAC community since 2009 when he joined
the youth group from an invitation from a friend. “As a student at youth group LAC
always provided me with a safe space and made me feel cared for. This along with
the excellent volunteers at Illuminate led me into a personal relationship with the
Lord that allowed me to grow in Christ.”
After graduating high school and leaving Illuminate, Kyle returned in 2018 as a
volunteer youth leader and served in that role until 2023 when he was named
the youth coordinator. Outside of the church Kyle works in the education field.
Kyle attributes his time as a volunteer at LAC to leading him to his
life’s calling as a teacher.
When he is not at work, you can find him enjoying time with his wife,
Ruth, or watching or playing sports. He cheers hard for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Benjamin Hallock
Next gen ministry associate
Ben has served with LAC since September 2024. Prior to that role he served as a student and youth ministry intern at The Chapel. Currently he serves as a part of our youth and young adult ministries. Ben was raised a part of LAC’s community, and is excited to invest in the body of Christ that invested in him.
Ben’s favorite passage of scripture is 1st Peter 1:13-16, and is his focus as he lives out his life goal of making more and better followers of Jesus, living in Jesus name, in Jesus way.
“Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”
